IMSE has once again taken part in the Science Fair, now in its 23rd edition. Over the course of three days (April 22, 23, and 24), the event—organized by the Andalusian Society for the Promotion of Science (SADC)—transformed the Seville Conference and Exhibition Center into the epicenter of scientific outreach in Andalusia. Its main objective was to promote the exchange and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge among the educational community, the general public, and the research sector.

IMSE's Role

Our Institute was eager to take part in this annual event and presented a diverse program designed for all audiences. Through its stand, IMSE showcased its scientific work with engaging activities such as robotics workshops and virtual reality experiences—highlighting the Institute's collaboration with various space missions. These activities offered a playful and entertaining introduction to the world of microelectronics, making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages.

In addition to its booth presence, IMSE also took part in the micro-lecture series *"Asómate a la Ciencia"*, organized by the Unit for Scientific Culture and Citizen Science. On the first day, researcher Eros Camacho introduced the topic of cybersecurity to the public through a talk titled *"Microelectronics and Cryptography: Defense Against Hardware Attacks."* Later in the week, researcher Gloria Huertas concluded Thursday's program with a presentation titled *"From Electron to Chip,"* in which she shared her insights into digital innovation.

This annual science outreach event once again brought together thousands of people, reaffirming its status as a key platform for bringing science closer to the public. The audience notably included schools and educational centers during the morning sessions, while families filled the venue in the afternoons.

Visit from the CSIC Delegate in Andalusia

On Wednesday morning, Margarita Paneque, CSIC's Delegate in Andalusia, visited the IMSE stand to learn more about the scheduled activities. She was seen programming robots and sharing her impressions with the research team, showing great interest and enthusiasm for the outreach work being carried out.

IMSE's participation in the 2025 Science Fair has once again proven to be a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and connect with society. Over the course of the three-day event, attendance is estimated to have exceeded one thousand people. Among the main audiences were families, educational institutions, and organizations related to the science and technology sector.
