We are pleased to announce a Seminar provided by Prof. Danilo Demarchi, from the Politecnico di Torino, entitled: "Let the Plants do the Talking: Smart Agriculture by the Messages Received from Plants and Soil".
This event will take place on June 25, 2024 in the Salón de Grados of the Instituto de Microelectrónica de Sevilla (IMSE-CNM).
Prof. Demarchi is a distinguished member of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, founder and Vice-Chair of the IEEE CAS Special Interest Group on AgriFood Electronics. This is a technology that proposes an improvement in the management of all stages of the food chain, from smart and precision agriculture to the processing phase and the points of sale.
This technology helps farmers and all factors in the food chain because, through electronic sensors, will be easier to understand and protect the environment, taking into account the challenges related to climate change and the optimization of natural resources.
The talk, which will take place around 11:00 a.m., can be followed online through the CONECTA platform. Whether you decide to attend in person or online, it is necessary to fill the form by clicking on the following link.
This activity will be incorporated to the PhD Programme on Physical Sciences and Technologies (PDCyTF), what allows students to add this training to their accomplishment list (DAD).
